Affiliate Disclosure
How we keep the lights on
The Short Version
Some of the links on PointsPlaybook are affiliate links. This means if you click on a link and sign up for a credit card, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep creating free content.
Your trust matters more than any commission. We only recommend products we genuinely believe in, and our opinions are never for sale.
How Affiliate Links Work
When we link to credit card offers, bank accounts, or other financial products, we often use affiliate links. Here's what that means:
- You pay nothing extra. The price and offer you see is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the issuer.
- We may earn a commission. If you're approved for a product through our link, the issuer may pay us a referral fee.
- Not all links are affiliate links. We link to plenty of resources without any compensation.
Our Editorial Policy
Affiliate relationships do NOT influence our content. Here's how we maintain integrity:
- We recommend products based on value to you, not commission to us
- We cover cards and products even when we have no affiliate relationship
- We'll tell you when a product isn't worth it, even if we'd earn money recommending it
- Our rankings and ratings are based on our honest analysis
If we think a card is bad, we'll say so โ even if we have an affiliate link for it. Our reputation is worth more than any single commission.
Types of Partnerships
We may receive compensation from:
- Credit card issuers โ Chase, American Express, Capital One, Citi, etc.
- Banks โ For checking/savings account signups
- Travel companies โ Hotels, booking platforms, travel insurance
- Financial services โ Investment apps, tax software, etc.
Advertising
We may display advertisements on this site. These ads are clearly marked and separate from our editorial content. The presence of an ad does not constitute an endorsement.
